ABOUT MICRONEEDLING:

Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) is a procedure that uses a high motorised microneedling pen with small needles to prick the skin in order to rejuvenate the skin. The purpose of this treatment is to generate new collagen and skin tissue for smoother, firmer, more toned skin. Microneedling is mostly used on the face and may treat various scars, wrinkles, and large pores. The micro needling is only used after numbing gel is applied.

BENEFITS:

  • Collagen production
  • Improves hyper-pigmentation
  • Minimizes fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improves skin tone and texture
  • Minimizes pore size
  • Improves acne scarring and stretch marks

SAFETY:

Microneedling is minimally invasive, requiring no downtime. It’s considered safe for most people who are in overall good health. The procedure isnt safe for people who use certain types of acne medications or for women who are pregnant. You will experience minor redness and irritation for a few days after the procedure.

CONVENIENCE:

Total prep and procedure time is about two hours. You may need at least four procedures or more for the best results.

Dermapens: A Type of microneedling

Skin needing procedures are performed in a safe and precise manner with the use of the sterile Dermapen needle cartridge (single use, disposable needles for sterility and patient safety). The skin is appropriately prepared prior to performing the actual needling portion, by cleaning and numbing the treatment area.

Throughout the procedure, the practitioner delicately guides the Dermapen across the client’s skin, crafting tiny sub-cutaneous channels. The body perceives this as a “mini wound,” prompting the release of growth factors that catalyze the synthesis of collagen and elastin, integral to the healing process. Over time, the newly formed collagen undergoes remodeling, leading to anticipated moderate skin tightening in the treated area. The procedure proves beneficial for addressing concerns such as sagging skin, stretch marks, enlarged pores, rough texture, lines, wrinkles, and acne scars.
